What’s a RIB festival water taxi?

Instead of waiting in lines for the ferry and then the bus or water taxi, you can book a skippered RIB taxi that lands 10 minutes’ walk from the Isle of Wight Festival site.

Our RIBs carry groups of up to 6 people (7 if glamping with only one bag per person or there for the day)

How it works 

We offer RIB transfers from our base at Hamble Point Marina, the closest marina to Solent Water.

We’ll drop you and your luggage off at Island Harbour, tide dependent, a 10-minute walk or short hop in a Festival golf buggy to the festival site. The marina offers a golf buggy with driver service to help you onto the festival site; this is a chargeable service

If the tide is too low to land at Island Harbour, we’ll land at East Cowes. Where you can hop in a taxi or catch the shuttle bus to the festival grounds.

The journey from Hamble Point to Island Harbour will take approximately 55 minutes plus berthing time.

If required, we can arrange car parking at Hamble Point Marina.

We are a fully coded and insured RIB Charter company that carries all the necessary safety equipment and licences to deliver you safely to the festival.

How much does it cost? 

For 2027 we are trying to simplify pricing and admin; it’ll cost £57 per person, per journey. This rate includes the fees we pay to dock on the Isle of Wight. Once booked, we will issue an invoice which will require full payment to secure your seats. 

We need a minimum of 4 people to make each trip workable, so we will mix groups. I’m sorry, but we don’t take return-only bookings for Monday until we know what spaces our return guests require.

We will be running our transfer service during this time. Once the tide times have been published, we will create a running schedule as we can’t get into Island Harbour at low tide.
