bareboat RIB Charter

If you want to enjoy adventures on Solent Water, and have the experience required by our insurance company, you can hire one of our RIBs and enjoy a half or full day of fun in the Solent.
To hire as a bareboat, the skipper must have at least 3 years of experience driving a similar vessel or a coastal skipper qualification.
We value experience and our insurance company does allow bareboat hire without formal qualifications and relevant experience.

What to expect on your bareboat RIB charter

There is a variety of choices when it comes to enjoying a charter in the Solent. The biggest choice you’ll have is what to enjoy on your day aboard.

Each of our RIBs can hold up to 8 people. If your group is larger than we can help, we work with fellow members of the Professional Charter Association so that you can rent a fleet large enough to carry all of your party.

Destinations you can visit

If you’d like ideas of where to visit, click here to read our Solent RIB destination guide.

On a half-day bareboat RIB charter you should be able to comfortably visit 2 locations. For a full-day charter another 1 or 2 with a lunch stop. This would be subject to the weather and sea state on the day of your trip as well as the passengers you have onboard.

Feel free to call us and we can chat through possible itineraries for your visit.

What will your day look like?

Your day will start with a skipper briefing. This is where we will walk you through the RIB and let you know everything you need to so that you enjoy a comfortable and safe charter. This should take about 30 minutes and then once everyone has been given a lifejacket you’ll be free to leave the dock.

Then you’ll be underway to enjoy your half or full day on the water.

On your way back to the marina we ask that you give us a call / send us a WhatsApp so that we can meet you back at the dock.

We have a handy guide of what to bring and what to leave at home for your trip. Click here to take a look.

What do I need to do to book?

Once you know that you’d like to enjoy a bareboat RIB charter get in touch to check availability for the day you’d like to travel.

Whether call, WhatsApp or e-mail you need to let us know your date(s) and how many people are travelling. Please also give us a brief overview of your qualifications and experience.

Once we’ve arranged a date we will send you an e-booking form. Fill this in and submit. You’ll also be asked to send us copies of ID and certs – this is all required by our insurance company.  Once we’ve checked through we’ll send you an invoice. Only once this is paid is your charter reserved.

So take the first step and check availability for your bareboat charter in the Solent by getting in touch.
