Getting out to enjoy the water doesn’t change, even though the weather has. Autumn and Winter days on the Solent can be peaceful and exhilarating as long as you are dressed for the chill.

Whilst some places are closed at this time of year, others are welcoming guests with open arms and special deals.

During Autumn and Winter, we take this time to carry out upgrades and annual safety checks. We always try to have one of our RIBs prepped and ready to go.

Whether you are looking for a Solent Water Taxi over to the IOW or from the Island. A bareboat. assisted or skippered RIB trip. Get in touch to chat through what you are looking to book and enjoy.

We appreciate that at this time of year, your booking may be more last-minute as it is weather dependent. If you are planning a trip, give us a heads up and that’ll help us to help you with a last-minute booking.

Yarmouth has become a wonderful destination for foodies. Not only a quaint seaside village, you have a really great selection of places to enjoy lunch.

This Autumn and Winter, one of our favourite restaurants, The Terrace, has a couple of great lunchtime offers.

Book to enjoy 2-course set lunch on Monday, Thursday and Friday for £12.50 or £15 on Saturdays. You can pay an extra £5 to add in a third course.

They are also offering a fabulous Sunday roast with all the trimmings for £19.

If you are visiting us from the Isle of Wight, you can enjoy some great food and independent shopping in the village of Hamble.

If it’s shops you are looking at, you can moor at Port Hamble Marina and walk 10 minutes into the heart of Hamble where you’ll pick up some lovely and unique gifts at Sea Sky.

When it comes to places to eat, you are spoilt for choice. We’ve spotted a winter special at the Gaff Rigger at Mercury Yacht Harbour who are offering 3 courses plus drink for £16 Monday – Friday. A lovely view across the River Hamble from the Gaff.

Portsmouth is a great place to visit in the Autumn and Winter. Whether for shopping or a bite to eat and drinks we can take you to Gunwharf from Hamble, Warsash, Hythe or Cowes.

In addition to a trip to Gunwharf or Gosport, a walk through Old Portsmouth can be great fun, and we can highly recommend a walking tour with Steve.
