21st May – Festival of Transport @ Isle of Wight Steam Railway

If you love cars, lorries, bikes, trucks or any type of vehicle, then this is the event for you. View historic cars, bikes and commercial vehicles on May 21st. To get to this event you’d probably want to moor in Cowes and take public transport.

27th-29th May – Balloon Festival at Robin Hill

An event that sells out quickly, the Balloon Festival offers a breathtaking display of vibrant hot air balloons, a packed lineup of live music, epic family activities, and delicious food stalls. To get to this event you’d probably want to moor in Cowes and take public transport.

8th July – 14th July – Cowes Classics Week

Cowes Classics Week is all about racing traditional yachts on the water and enjoying fabulous social events ashore. To best see this event you can either stay on the water – but keep well clear of the racing yachts. To enjoy the shoreside fun, moor in Cowes and enjoy.

14th July – 16th July – Lymington Seafood Festival

Always a great event, Lymington Seafood Festival is for everyone and not just lovers of Seafood. Enjoy over 80 stalls selling delicious food and drink. Plus a little bit of non-food shopping. Live music and entertainment is on throughout the event and you’ll either be tapping your feet, laughing out loud or singing along. You can prebuy entrance and last year they did sell out for some of the times. The best marina to moor Bluetooth is Berthon or add another 10 minutes onto your walk if moored at Lymington Town Quay.

29th July – 4th August – Cowes Week

Since 1826 Cowes Week has played a key part in the British sporting summer calendar and is one of the UK’s longest-running and most successful sporting events. It now stages up to 40 daily races for around 500 boats and is the largest sailing regatta of its kind in the world. To best see this event you can either stay on the water – but keep well clear of the racing yachts. To enjoy the shoreside fun, moor in Cowes and enjoy.

19th – 20th August – Isle of Wight Garlic Festival

If you’ve not yet tried IOW black garlic, you are in for a treat. Run since 1983, the Island plays host to star chefs, musicians, local charities and businesses and more from far and wide. With live music, children’s activities and lots of garlic, the show is not to be missed. To get to this event you’d probably want to moor in Cowes and take public transport.

19th – 24th September – Formula Kite European Championships

Europe’s best kiteboarders will be racing along Eastney Beach this September. The riders will be vying for the title of European Champion but also as they aim to qualify their nations for the Olympic Games. To watch this event you’d be best to stay on the water, well out of the way of the riders.
